The 2026-2027 school-based circles are about to start, and we're excited to announce which schools we will be serving. We are grateful to continue serving Talent Middle School for the 8th year in a row and to return for our second year in a row to the Medford School District middle schools: Hedrick, McLoughlin, and Oakdale, as well as Ashland High School. We are thankful and looking forward to another great year of circles and supporting the youth of the Rogue Valley!💙🙌
Los círculos escolares para el ciclo 2026-2027 están por comenzar y nos complace anunciar qué escuelas atenderemos. Agradecemos poder seguir prestando servicios a Talent Middle School por octavo año consecutivo y regresar por segundo año consecutivo a las escuelas secundarias del Distrito Escolar de Medford: Hedrick, McLoughlin y Oakdale, así como a Ashland High School. ¡Estamos muy agradecidos y entusiasmados por vivir otro gran año de círculos y de apoyo a los jóvenes del Rogue Valley!💙🙌

The new school year is ahead of us and our school-based program team got together after a long summer. We welcomed our new members Megan and Jasmine to the RVM family, and what a better way to do it than with coffee and some breakfast.🍳🧡🙌🏼

National Nonprofit Day was August 17th, and while we may have missed the exact date, we don’t want August to pass without celebrating what it represents.

At Rogue Valley Mentoring, we’re grateful to be part of the incredible nonprofit community working every day to make a difference in the lives of local youth. From mentors and volunteers to donors, partners, and our amazing community, you make this work possible.

Here’s to the people who show up, give back, and believe in the power of community.

El Día Nacional de las Organizaciones Sin Fines de Lucro fue el 17 de agosto, y aunque se nos pasó la fecha exacta, no queremos que agosto termine sin celebrar lo que representa.

DON'T FORGET! Our next Mentoring Essentials Training will THIS WEEKEND, on Saturday August 15 from 9a-5p. You must apply online prior to the event to attend.

Become an Approved Volunteer Youth Mentor with Rogue Valley Mentoring, or take this training for personal/professional development.

The training covers strength-based communication, trauma-informed care, youth development, active listening, and avoiding bias; it also gives scenarios in small groups to practice the skills learned.

Fine more information and register online: https://rvmentoring.org/mentor-training-calendar/ or email, call, or text: [email protected] & 541-500-7954.

The volunteer mentor approval process includes the Mentoring Essentials Training, a Background Check including Fingerprints, an Interview with RVM staff, and RVM staff checking 3 References you provide on the Mentor Application. This process is free to you, and fingerprints can be rolled at several retail locations around the Rogue Valley.

Summer is a wonderful time for Mentors and Mentees in our 1:1 Match Program to get together and explore new places and activities together. Whether it’s bringing art supplies to the park, soaking up the sunshine, and creating side by side, or simply enjoying time outdoors, these shared moments help build lasting connections.

Don't forget that we are hosting our next Mentors on Tap social mixer and outreach event at Legend C***r Co THIS THURSDAY for individuals who would like to learn about Rogue Valley Mentoring and our programs.

This isn’t a stiff presentation or a formal gala. It’s a casual social hour designed to bring together people who care about the youth in the Rogue Valley.

We want to invite community members to come and hear stories from current mentors, and learn more about becoming a mentor or supporter RVM.

Volunteering to mentor a youth in the community can transform not only their life, but yours! RVM has trained over 500 volunteer mentors and has served over 2,000 youth ages 9-24.
