No mountain too high NM2H uses their mountaineering expeditions as metaphors for what it takes entrepreneurs in underdeveloped countries to reach their own summits - donate now

On 5 August 2009, Jelmer Ikink and Roman Lentz stood on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, and felt the need to do more - climb more mountains, but more importantly, give support to the people who are in need of so much more. no mountain too high is a project to support micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries.

An article on no mountain too high was published on July 1, 2012 in the Deutsche Welle on our recent Denali expedition and visit to Akhuwat in Pakistan. The article is in Urdu.

It is titled "Young European men join the battle against poverty," and discusses how although the international public sector is involved in poverty alleviation, now people who do not have any such affiliations are fighting this battle on their own.

It further discsses how no mountain too high was kindly invited by Akhuwat to visit Pakistan, Akhuwat's operations, and its borrowers, and our plan to climb the seven peaks through no mountain too high. After quoting no mountain too high's experiences of Pakistanis (hospitable and hardworking), it quotes Akhuwat's director explaining the success of Akhuwat's model.

Punjab Secretary of Industries Dr. Shujad Ali on no mountain too high:

"It is indeed rare to see young men so inspired and charged with a do gooding spirit that no mountain is too high against their will and determination."

"Your interest in Akhuwat and its work as a workable model is much appreciated, especially given that some of its features do not sit well with the kind of economics that dominates thinking in your part of the world."

"Your supportive observations about Akhuwat's strategic and managerial capacities vindicates us in the trust and confidence that we as a goverment have reposed in its capacities to deliver."
