The Arc Jackson County’s primary focus is supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

The Arc Jackson County’s primary focus is helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Our programs include: K-12 Enrichment Activity Scholarships; Direct Support Person (DSP) Program- connecting individuals with IDD to attendant and respite care providers; Covid Support Program- providing monetary relief (rent, utilities, phone, childcare) and information for individuals and families who have tested positive for Covid-19; Future Planning- providing individuals and families assistance with preparing for meaningful futures; Advocacy, information, and referral; Social activities, Emergency financial assistance for the IDD community and their families via our Ken Wonderly Memorial Fund; Low-income housing; and Comprehensive online Community Resource Guide

Our CommCard training helps adults, and the people who support them, build strategies for safer and more positive encounters with first responders and other helping professionals. You'll make your own personalized communication card and practice using it with professionals from our community.
