OCPA is the longest-running educational theatre program for youth in the Rogue Valley. It got its start in 1997, when two local high school teachers felt there was a need to offer kids theatre experiences beyond what was found in the public schools, where the arts were being curtailed or eliminated. The two brought together a number of artists and teachers to introduce their concept, which evolved

into the Oregon Conservatory of Performing Arts. After-school and Saturday classes began in 1998. Currently we are offering two Summer Camps for ages 7 to 12. Check out our posts here and our Instagram ocpa_medford for more details. Registration is open at:

What really happened after "once upon a time?" Campers will find out in this fun-filled fractured fairy tale when a substitute narrator is called in on short notice to present stories from a stack of fairy tale books. But as each tale begins its "once upon a time," the main characters show up to interrupt and correct the newbie narrator's telling of their story. Turns out, these characters have hysterical idiosyncrasies.
