Founded in 2015, we have raised over $50,000 for children's hospitals and cancer research. 'Busting for charity makes us feel GOOD! The Massachusetts Ghostbusters was formed in the Spring of 2015 when former member of the New England Ghostbusters, David Silva wanted to revive a local Ghostbusters group and raise money for charities. Soon after more members started to join and events were attended
in an official capacity with money being raised under our motto “Busting for charity makes us feel good”. The Massachusetts Ghostbusters have raised over $40,000 for various charities since being formed. We have worked with Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA, Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, Boys and Girls Club of Manchester New Hampshire, and the For the Win Project out of Los Angeles, CA. The group has attended many events since being formed to include major comic cons like Fan Expo Boston and Rhode Island Comic Con to exclusive events like Lyft/Ghostbusters promotion in Boston and the 2016 World Premiere of Ghostbuster: Answer the Call. Each event we try to bring smiles to all attendees via photo ops, props and interactive experiences. The Massachusetts Ghostbusters is an officially recognized Ghostbusters Fan Franchise through the Sony production company, Ghost Corps (holder of the Ghostbusters franchise license rights).
