Happy 250th! We hope you have had a wonderful Fourth of July!

The Dwight-Derby House will be closed tomorrow, but we will be open next Sunday, July 12, from 11 to 1. We look forward to seeing you then or on a Sunday soon!

We are proud to share the rich history of the Dwight family and their contributions during the American Revolution. This is a great opportunity to reflect on our past as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary. Recently, we hosted events for the Medfield Garden Club and local students learning about King Philip's War, showcasing our commitment to community engagement and education.

On June 10, 1776, fifty-nine year old Seth Dwight enlisted in the Medfield militia. Seth, who resided at 7 Frairy Street, was part of Captain Sabin Mann's train band. Mann was the husband of Hannah Plimpton Mann, whose late uncle, William Plimpton, had been married to Kezia Dwight Plimpton, Seth's sister.

We're thrilled to announce the kickoff of the 2026 season at the Dwight-Derby House! This month has been filled with engaging events, including the Medfield History Weekend that celebrated our rich history. Join us on May 16 for the MAP! Snap! Challenge and see our East Parlor Project. We also invite you to our Volunteer Day on the same day at 3 PM to explore opportunities at the house.
