These photos don't come close to capturing the beauty, energy, and spirit of yesterday's Juneteenth Celebration.

What a day.

Together with our incredible partners at Medway Marches, we welcomed our largest Juneteenth gathering yet to the Bellforge grounds. From the opening moments through the final performance, the site was filled with music, conversation, reflection, joy, and community.

We're deeply grateful to the artists who shared their talents, the food vendors who kept everyone well-fed, the volunteers and staff who made the day possible, and most importantly, the hundreds of community members who chose to spend part of their holiday with us.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and community. It was an honor to gather together in that spirit.

Join us for our annual Juneteenth Festival from 2-6:30 PM, presented in partnership with Medway Marches.

This free community celebration honors the history and significance of Juneteenth while uplifting Black culture, creativity, and excellence through music, art, food, community, and more.

The festival brings the community together for an afternoon of live music, dance, spoken word, reflection, and celebration across the Bellforge grounds. Featured artists and performers include DJ Alcide, The Akwaaba Ensemble, breakdancer Teflon, spoken word artists, and a special reading of historical texts by Frederick Douglass.

Guests can also enjoy food and drink throughout the afternoon, including Caribbean cuisine from The Hut Island Vybes and offerings from other local vendors.

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what community can look like.

Thank you to Melissa Ferrick and Jill McCracken for sharing your music, stories, and hearts with us. And thank you to our community partners, vendors, volunteers, and everyone who spent part of their Pride with us.

On a warm afternoon in Medfield, hundreds of people came together to celebrate authenticity, belonging, and joy. We're grateful to have shared it with you.
