Meet Ivy, one of our ambassador goats.

Certain goats and other critters come to us from humans who treat them very well but can no longer do so. These critters usually do wonderful jobs as they are ambassadors to anybody who visits.

For the Gomez lovers out there...

Gomez the friendly goose and Lucy came down from about 8 years ago... Well he and Lucy have broken up, Gomez continues to love on all humans that come his way.

His retirement is well earned.

Welcome Agnes to the goat herd...she lost a friend and became aggressive to the rest of her herd, so we partnered with to rehome her. They braved the wilds of New York City and Long Island in their Sprinter van decked out for critter transport. My 40-ft rig just had to go from the transfer point back home.

Spring Chicken

Gertie was thought to be a hen buy some well-meaning folks who had the story that sanctuary folks have heard many times.

We thought we got all girl chickens...

Keep in mind folks that unless you get s*x linked chickens, roughly half will be roosters.

Have you ever heard of New Hampshire red chickens? Or Ancona ducks?
I hadn't, but humans have bred so many different varieties of birds

Samuel Clemens rooster had an identical Twain. :)

We adopted Samuel Clemens from a sanctuary that had to close about 8 years ago now. He's been the most wonderful of roosters and still is...

Enjoy sitting on my lap and being petted since his legs don't work so well.
