Between 1975 and 2010, the number of US physicians grew by 150%.

That matched population growth. Exactly as it should.

In that exact same window, the number of healthcare administrators grew by 3,200%.

Not 32%. Not 320%. Three thousand two hundred percent.

For every 1 new doctor added to the American healthcare system, 21 new administrators were hired.

Healthcare administration now accounts for an estimated 15-25% of total US healthcare expenditure — costs paid by patients through premiums, deductibles, and medical bills.

The explosion in your medical bills didn't go to the people saving your life.

It went to the corporate office.
