To all FB friends – remember the days when everyone in town, everyone who used to be from here, and many other visitors came to Remus for Heritage Days?? As the name implies everyone wanted to hang on to our heritage by supporting the annual event – which is why I got involved around ten years ago. Remember how old folks and families came down to talk with each other, listen to music playing in the pavilion (and sometimes dance), enjoy good food, softball games, watch a parade and the kids having fun, on and on. Well, we may not still have all the on and on (just check out the Centennial book available for sale again at the museum), but we still have a great group trying for R E M U S. So, please join or attend RHD meetings (come on scouts, veterans, school groups, nonprofits, churches, show us your stuff, but most of all come one, come all….
In addition to tractor and now truck show, kids’ games, parade, music at night, crafts, food wagons, cold beer, we have expanded to downtown so now, for my personal invite: please COME to the REMUS RUMBLE car and bike show FRIDAY night on Main Street. Great cars/bikes, people we grew up with, great sponsors, the Remus Tavern, Wheatland Grill, and this year a very special hot dog stand sponsored by Mecosta-Remus alumni
