Meet Shenel Heisler, MD, 2015 recipient of the Myrtle Siegfried, MD, and Michael Vigilante, MD Scholarship from Northampton County!

Having just completed her Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Dr. Heisler is now an Attending Physician of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine.

When asked about something she would tell current medical students, Shenel wants students to know: "People are always willing to help and the Foundation Scholarships are a great way to start. The Foundation provides so many additional resources that Medical Students should take advantage of."

This week we're highlighting our ACMS scholarship, as well as 2025-2026 ACMS scholarship recipient Marisa Delsignore of Allegheny County!

🗯 Did you know that over the past 19 years, the ACMS scholarship has awarded $81,000 to Allegheny county medical students? Marisa is the ACMS Medical Student Scholarship's 29th awardee!
