Wags To Riches Thrift Shoppe ... Supporting Purple Dog Rescue

Wags To Riches opened in July 2015, initially to support Animal House Rescue (AHR). AHR, located at 114 S Sporting Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, PA, was closed in December 2017 by it’s Director for unknown reasons and without making a public announcement. Soooooo, some AHR supporters along with AHR’s founder, Sharon Eckenrode (who came out of retirement), decided to open another rescue, PURPLE DOG RESCUE (PDR). PDR, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a dog rescue created to rehome older dogs. Our tax ID # is 82-4278941. Wags To Riches is a project of Purple Dog Rescue and all proceeds, after bills, go to PDR. Neither Wags nor PDR have paid employees - ALL work is done by volunteers. And all items in the Thrift Shoppe are donated by our supporters. Donations can be dropped off any time Wags is open: Wed-Sat from 10-4. For now, Purple Dog Rescue will be run out of Wags and we are hoping to stay small in number. All dogs needing rehomed are in foster homes and NONE are housed at Wags. Since PDR is not on petfinder yet, available dogs are only on facebook. If you are interested in volunteering, please drop us a line (either a fb pm or email [email protected]) or stop by Wags.
