Pennsylvania Auto Theft Prevention Authority The mission of the Pennsylvania Auto Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA) is to enforce, prosecute, and prevent auto theft. Lock your car, take your keys!

The Pennsylvania Auto Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA) was created by the General Assembly in 1994 and has contributed to a significant decrease in the rate of motor vehicle theft in Pennsylvania. ATPA is comprised of a statewide network of law enforcement grantees who detect, enforce, investigate, prosecute, and prevent auto theft. Funded by insurance assessments, ATPA uses no taxpayer dollars.

A “puffer” isn’t just wasteful… it’s an open invitation for auto theft. Leaving your car running unattended increases emissions and risk.
Turn the key. Take it with you. Protect your ride and the planet.
