We are thrilled that Community CARES is the umbrella agency for our Zero Barrier Shelter. This year the community decision making has concluded that mass sheltering is not possible in this time of pandemic.

So Community CARES will be partnering with area hotels and motels to put people up when the temperature drops below 25 degrees. If you'd like to help, please feel free to do so here.

The Dauphin County Bar Association is doing a series of outreach Zoom Events for the community (non-lawyers) on topics involving COVID.

The one-hour or less lunchtime Zoom events would be geared for Dauphin County residents (especially low-income) and small businesses.

Each event video would also be posted on our website for future viewing along with additional information. The following topics are scheduled to date:
PA Unemployment Comp and Workers Comp.
Bankruptcy later in June at Noon
July 8 is tentatively Landlord Tenant issues
Others might be Mortgage issues, consumer protections, loans/debt, custody, support, family law, etc

Of course, the Dauphin County Bar Association lawyers can do the content and the Q&A on the each of the topics.
