2026 MMFA PINK OUT RECIPIENT 🎀
Today, we had the honor of presenting our 2026 Pink Out recipient, Haley Johnson, with the funds raised by our incredible MMFA community! 💗
Haley is a wife to her husband, Jake, and a mom to two young boys. Over the past year, she has been fighting one of the toughest battles of her life after being diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
This year’s Pink Out is especially close to my heart. Not only am I a breast cancer survivor myself, but I also had the privilege of being one of Haley’s chemotherapy nurses at the UPMC Infusion Center. Having experienced my own breast cancer journey, I know firsthand how overwhelming this diagnosis can be. Being able to care for Haley during part of her journey made this year’s fundraiser even more meaningful to me.
Haley completed chemotherapy in July and underwent a mastectomy in September. While those are two huge milestones, her fight isn’t over. She still has immunotherapy treatments and several surgeries ahead of her.
Cancer takes a toll in so many ways, physically, emotionally, and financially. Even as the treatments continue, so do the medical bills and everyday expenses of raising a family.
But one thing is certain: Haley is kicking cancer’s butt, and we are cheering her on every step of the way! 💪🏻🎀
At MMFA, we pride ourselves on being more than just a football and cheerleading organization. We are a family, and when someone in our community needs support, we show up.
