Hello everyone. π we have some bittersweet news to share with you. Our family is relocating to Richmond VA which means we are concluding our final season for Sophia's Closet in PA. With you, we have helped so many families and have seen so many amazing friends and neighbors reach out to help others. It's been truly life changing to see what happens when a young girls wish to help is amplified throughout an entire community and the difference it makes. I wish I could bottle the things your help actually did so you could understand how much more you provided than clothes. You provided dignity, hope, a friendly face, and normalcy in a time for these families where many felt no one cared about, not their situation, but them. Poverty is not a person, it is a tangible, measurable metric. It is NOT who someone is and you and your children's grace and care made a difference. So many tears, situations shared, and encouragement throughout the last year as we learned about so many stories.
We are hosting our final shop appointments this week and will be dispersing the remainder of our donations to area schools to continue to get them into the homes of children in need free of charge.
To our many friends giving recurring monthly donations, we have discontinued any further donations as we transition to a new state. Sophia's goal is to be up and running in our new area after about a year.
Thank you all for helping us help. This is what a neighborhood is truly about. You have showed Sophia, myself and so many local children, parents and neighbors what happens when a community comes together β€ We are forever thankful and grateful to you.
Until later, keep throwing around kindness like confetti friends π it's contagious.
