Sometimes, you just don’t want to take the time and join something. Or you think “I really have other things to do”. But many times, if you just stop and enjoy the people you’re working with, life is so much brighter! Tonight at our Hawfields Civitan meeting, we had a passionate speaker about something we support in our local area; Ralph Scott Homes. These homes provide independence, safety and dignity to people living with intellectual disabilities in our community. And we did it all by candlelight thanks to the power outage in parts of eastern Alamance county.

Thank you to all the people who support one another and lift each other up at these meetings! Come join the family! We’d love to have you!❤️❤️❤️

Thank you to Mackenzie with Alamance County Special Olympics! We made our annual donation to Special Olympics of Alamance County tonight.

They are looking for volunteers to help with games and activities for inclusive recreation events, which is something we at Hawfields Civitan Club look forward to every year!!!

You may have noticed the new fence surrounding the Hawfields Ballfield. These are the types of projects that our organization supports for our community. We do this by a number of fundraisers like the upcoming Brunswick Stew sale, out Boston Butt sale, and of course our beloved annual Haunted Forest! In order to support these projects, we need community members to help! We'd love to have you come visit and see if this is where you belong (YOU DO!!!!).

On top of our amazing Haunted Forest that is in full swing, the Hawfields Civitan International Chapter does so much to support our community! We have the Hawfields Civitans Jaguars!!! Our U10 group made it to the Playoffs that will be help Monday 10/27 at Eastern Alamance High School at 7:15! Come cheer them on! And ask a Civitan how you can join this amazing group to support your community!!
