MOTM is a Mebane Woman's Club initiative comprised of community members passionate about bringing health and wellness to the citizens of Mebane, NC

A group of ladies from the Mebane Woman’s Club sat down to discuss an idea for an annual event that would get members of our community to be more active. An energized and productive brainstorming session lead us to the inaugural Mebane on the Move Family Fitness Festival – a family activity day complete with 5K road race, health and fitness expo and free fitness classes. The event was designed as

a fundraiser for the Mebane on the Move initiative which was established with the broad goals of increasing the health and wellness of our community. Over the next several years the event was completely revamped with the addition of more appealing and popular activities such as the addition of a 10K road race. Over time, the initiative itself has taken off. The campaign was broadened to involve members of the community from many arenas including educators, health care professionals, business leaders and local citizens. Today, our motivated group is working together to put ideas and projects into action in an ongoing effort to keep Mebane moving.

The Mebane Woman’s Club Gear Exchange is now collecting gently used youth sports equipment at the MACC. Instead of letting outgrown gear sit unused, help us put it back into the hands of local families who can use it. 💚

📅 Donations accepted now through June 5

Then join us on June 6 for our FREE community shopping day where families can come find the sports gear they need.

One donation could help another child get back on the field. 💪

Mebane friends — here’s a great way to support active, healthy kids in our community 💚

The Mebane Woman’s Club Gear Exchange is now collecting gently used youth sports equipment at the MACC!

If your family has gear that’s been outgrown or no longer used, consider donating. Every item helps remove barriers and keeps more kids moving, playing, and participating in sports.

♻️ Donations accepted now through June 5
📍 Drop-off box located inside the MACC

Then on June 6, families can come “shop” for the gear they need — completely free.

It’s a simple way to:
✔ Support youth activity
✔ Reduce waste
✔ Strengthen our community

Spring MebFit registration went live today. Sign up through the Mebane civic link (or in person).

MebFit classes return in April! Stay active this spring by joining a free fitness class at the Mebane Arts Center sponsored by the Mebane Woman's Club. Registration is now open online at tinyurl.com/cityofmebanerec.

Winter MebFit classes are under way, and at full capacity! This session, we added a new strengthening class and a Zumba class to our offerings.

Mebane!!! You all SHOWED UP for the 2025 Reindeer Run!!!! Over 500 participants, reindeer costumes, antlers, and so much joy!!! The Mebane Woman's Club cannot thank this community enough for your excitement and epic participation!!! We cannot wait to host this again next year with even more of the community with us!
