***Update regarding the upcoming ONSC Fishing Derby being held at multiple locations across the area on September 26th.***

If you are a "New" Scout, as in you joined Cub Scouts on or after August 1st of this year, or you are a youth who is wanting to check out Cub Scouts and hopefully join a pack, admission to the event is FREE.

Current Cub Scouts who joined a unit before August 1st of this year the price to attend is $5 and covers the cost of a patch, worms and other expenses to put on this event.

The six locations which will be hosting the Fishing Derby this year are:

- City Lake Park, 602 W Main St., Jamestown, NC 27282
- Finch Park, 15 Paul Beck Rd., Lexington, NC 27292
- Graham-Mebane Lake, 3218 Bason Rd., Mebane, NC 27302
- Guilford County Farm, 7315 Howerton Road, Elon, NC 27244
- Lake Reidsville Park, 630 Water Works Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320
- Sportsmans Club, 7999 Winfree Rd., Summerfield, NC

If so, the Old North State Council is holding multiple open house and School Night for Scouting recruitment events at several locations across our region over the next week for families who are interested in joining to see what all the excitement is about.
