We are excited to share that we are one step closer to completing The Wake House Renovation Project!

The 3,750-square-foot facility now has a fresh coat of paint, and new LVP flooring has been installed throughout the building.

While updating the space, it was important to us to preserve the building's history by saving the meaningful murals that already existed. To honor that history, we decided to frame the murals, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. What do you think??

We certainly could not have reached this stage of the project without the many hands and hearts committed to helping make The Wake House what it was always meant to be. We are incredibly grateful for every church, organization, company, and individual who has supported us along the way.

However, there is still more to do...

Shelving, furniture, wish list items, and landscaping are just a few of the areas where support is still needed.

Home Sweet Hope has believed from the very beginning that physical surroundings have the power to strongly influence emotional health and well-being. Biophilic design and nature is one of our first go to sources when obtaining the elements to create healing enviroments

When Home Sweet Hope designs a space, whether it be a child's room or place where families gather, we are not just creating a pretty room. We are going in with full heart and intentionality to transform spaces that provide safety, calmness, and positive energy. No two rooms are alike because no two situations are alike. We are setting the back drop for a brighter tomorrow for youth and families involved in foster care, that are custom to their own unique needs and circumstances.

As we move forward with the very important Wake House Family Visitation Center Renovation Project, biophilic design plays a huge role in creating a calming enviroment for all who enter the doors. We can't wait for you to see the finished project and more importantly, we can't wait for families to use these spaces for connecting and healing.🌿

One of the most meaningful moments in the journey of a young person experiencing foster care is the opportunity to spend time with their biological family. These court-ordered visits help families stay connected, rebuild relationships, and heal together as they work toward reunification.

We believe these moments should happen in a space filled with dignity, comfort, and warmth — a place that truly feels like home.

That’s why, alongside RDU for FAMs we are committed to transforming The Wake House Visitation Center into the healing environment youth and families deserve. We’ve already made incredible progress: the facility is nearly finished being painted, and brand-new flooring has been installed throughout the building.

But we’re not done yet — and we need people like YOU to help bring this vision to life. Even something as simple as purchasing an item from our wish list can make a huge impact. Every contribution moves us one step closer to creating a welcoming space that will positively impact youth and families for years to come.

Home Sweet Hope is 5!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Let's celebrate by sharing memories and supporting the organization we all love 🩷🩷🩷

In the five years we’ve been a nonprofit, we’ve created over 60 beautiful spaces for the foster care and adoption community. From custom bedrooms for youth experiencing foster care or recent adoptions, to nurseries for babies who didn’t have a room of their own, to dorm rooms for youth stepping into a new chapter—each space is designed with care and intention. We’ve also created healing visitation rooms where families can come together in a warm, welcoming environments that truly feels like “home.” Every space is intertwined with stories of bravery, redemption, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

And how can we forget our amazing volunteers, donors, and those who have cheered us on. All the FUN we’ve shared at fundraisers, room installs, and events! This month, we’re not just celebrating an organization—we’re celebrating YOU! We couldn’t do what we do without your support. You are the true heroes behind our success!

It's moments like these that are so special to us. Not just because we are raising money for the mission, but because community is coming together for a purpose. Families are making memories and joy and wonder is on the faces of all the children when they meet a real life princess! 👑

We are honored to have a very special guest speaker with us this year at the Afternoon Princess Par-Tea!

Trent Taylor is a past room recipient and will speak briefly about the impact a room makeover has on the youth we serve. Something like having a personal space that reflects a persons true identity may seem small to some, but means a lot to a youth who has experienced loss and trauma.

Trent will also be available during the event to share more details about his story and how he is doing his part to help heal others.
