It has been a busy past weekend for our SAFE sports teams! All three of our disciplines were competing on Saturday, and truly gave it their all.

Our Modified Trap team Attended State Qualifiers in Jones County.
All but 3 of our modified trap shooters qualified for state - wishing them luck as they move on to the state competition in May!

We also had a grand 14 shooters who were brand new to the sport, way to go!

Our Archery Team competed in the Morgan County Outdoor Archery Match

Three shooters attended from our team: Sam Hollinsworth, James Smith, Warren Green

Sam got 4th in Cloverleaf Compound
James got 5th in Cloverleaf Compound
Warren got 6th in Cloverleaf Compound
Thank you Coach Daniel for attending and encouraging our students to give it their all! Great job to everyone.

Logan Jett attended State BB Champion Match at Rock Eagle where he held his own coming in the top half of competitors as a first year shooter. Thank you to his parents and coach for attending and assisting with practices, as well as the competition.

We are proud of our SAFE sports teams!

SAFE sports are among our chartered clubs that require so much hard work and dedication from our volunteer coaches that keep things running smoothly.

Melissa Clyburn along with Tonya Green and Andy Clyburn keep our BB team well managed! They work behind the scenes building boxes, racks, and rounding up 4-H'ers for fundraisers. Also working on designing their own shirts and trophies - so much good could be said about our BB volunteers!

Jennifer Wilmoth, Timothy Wilmoth, Douglas Landress, Tim Loibl, Daniel Hollinsworth, and Jacob Fenn keep our archery team well managed and organized with our growing team! They are the backbone and foundation upon our SAFE Archery team that helps students learn, grow, and develop their skills in this sport.

Steve Fry and Wyatt Youngblood are our two shotgun coaches that work so hard for our Modified trap team. (pictures to follow soon 😅). The two of them keep things running smoothly with several new and returning students joining our Shotgun Team. They are the backbone of our modified trap, and we couldn't do this without them!

Thank you so much to our coaches, we appreciate you so much!

A big shoutout to our Volunteers:

'Rusty Gwyn for running our amazing Horse Club, teaching our 4-H'ers the "ropes" to leading, riding, and caring for horses! They have given their time, knowledge, and expertise!

Barbara Webb has returned as our coach for our Poultry Judging team! Guiding our 4-H'ers with the knowledge of processed and live birds for placing at the Area contest!

Laura Bell, Blake Matthews, Lynn Baade, and April Moss are among our lovely chaperones that help keep our activities and internal clubs running smoothly. We are so grateful to them and their efforts that assist us in anything we need from cooking breakfast to washing our bus. (Thanks for that, Daniel and Sam!)
