Pike County 4-H Summer Programs Schedule! The moment you've all been waiting for...
June starts us with the Farm Passport Tour on the 12th. Parents must attend the tour with their students to attend this Summer Farm Bureau farm tour.
June 15th has two sessions for Youth Entrepreneur Camp. Session A is 9am - 12pm and reserved for ages 8 - 11. Session B is 1pm - 3pm and reserved for ages 12 and up.
June 19th features our Stars & S'mores night from 7pm - 10pm. This event is hosted by the Flint River Astronomy Club, featuring telescopes and a solar scope to view the night sky! Any students under 6th grade must have a parent or guardian attend with them.
The Farm Bureau Ag Mobile classroom is returning to the J. Joel Edwards Library on June 25th from 11am - 1pm. Attendance is free, but parents must come with their students.
Another Farm Passport Tour will begin July 02 and July 27th. Parents must attend with their students, but you can ride the bus with us on the tour! Each day has its own tentative schedule which will be determined at a later date. For specific questions, contact the Pike County Extension Office
Food Showcase Cooking Camp will begin July 7th for 7th - 12th grade starting at 9am until 3pm. July 8th will invite Cloverbuds from 9am - 12pm, with parent attendance for kindergarten and younger. And cloverleaf students will join us July 9th from 9am - 3pm. Lunch will be included with our older grades, and our cloverbuds will receive a morning snack!
Our Vet Camp begins July 14th from 9am to 3pm. It will offer hands-on labs for 1st grade through 11th grade students that will be split into two age groups. No parent attendance will be required!
July 16th will be our Go Fish Field Trip from 8:30am - 2:30pm. Our 1st - 3rd graders will need a parent to attend, but you eill join ud on the 4-H bus to the Go Fish Center!
Hunter Safety Certification Camp is for 8 year-old students and above. This two days series will test for your Georgia Hunter Education Certification and enjoy a field trip to Cherokee Rose Sporting Clays to practice with certified instructors. Price will be determined at a later day, but lunch will be provided both days. July 21st will run from 8:30am to 1pm, and July 22nd will run from 8:30am - 3:00pm.
Finally, The 4-H20 Day will take place from 9am - 3pm where your student will dive into all things water through hands-on experiments and games about the water cycle, with lunch included! This activity is open for 3rd - 6th grade students.
