Amazing ππ
This morning's sunrise is gonna go down as one of the best of the year. Hands down.
Here's the thing: I was expecting absolutely nothing in terms of sunrise when I first got into the city. In fact, I texted a friend saying as much when I saw the sunrise forecast from sunsetwx saying it was going to be a good one (you can see my message to him in the comments). It looked completely overcast.
I got in a seven and a half mile run and thought that I'd head up to the incline to see what it looked like. To my complete surprise, the color was already starting to appear. Wait...what color? I couldn't believe it. But over the course of the morning the horizon had opened up, and that light was starting to filter through.
After capturing a few scenes from the incline, I raced down to the West End Bridge. The water was pretty choppy so I jumped back in my car and raced up to the Overlook, and what a scene it was. The color lasted FOREVER. I mean I was able to drive to three different places to capture it from. It's unheard of.
I have a bunch of fun compositions to share from the West End Overlook, but I wanted to start with one that just featured that amazing sky. The textures, colors, and light were all incredible. So many more to come. It sure was a fun day.
