Brave responders participated Saturday in the 2023 Mat-Su Plunge. Every year the Mat-Su Sertoma Club cuts a hole in the ice and dares brave crazy people to jump in! Plungers are sponsored by friends, family and local businesses and raise funds to provide life changing opportunities to local youth with hearing loss or deafness. 🥶

Ladies and gentlemen! The West Lakes Fire Department and the West Lakes ASFA chapter have had a busy summer and fall! This past weekend members of our West Lakes Chapter and a few guests from Houston Fire Department & Willow/Caswell Fire Department completed their Firefighter I training. 6 Weeks and over 160+ hours of training completed! They learned techniques for interior firefighting, vertical ventilation, rapid intervention crew or “RIC” and many more technical skills.
