We’re aware of the conversations circulating on social media about the Fairview Ave. field and the upcoming McSherrystown Borough vote on Wednesday, March 11.

To help clarify, the vote is regarding the renewal of the contract between the Borough and the Diocese that owns the field. It is NOT a vote to remove our football program from the field.

At this time, nothing about our program’s field use is changing, and our ability to practice there is not currently at risk.

We appreciate how much our community cares about the program. If any McSherrystown Borough residents or Lions families would like to attend the meeting and share their thoughts in the open forum, they are welcome to do so.

Tomorrow, February 17th, is our first night of registration for the 2026 Lions season. *Location: McSherrystown Knights Of Columbus *Time: 5:30-7 p.m.
**Spaces are limited, so please bring payment and your child’s birth certificate (for new players only) to reserve your spot.
*Cash or checks are accepted; checks can be made payable to McSherrystown Lions Football. *The cost is $150 per player, for multiple players a $10 sibling discount will be given.
We will also have a second night of registration on February 19, at the same location and time. We look forward to seeing all of our little Lions tomorrow! 🦁🏈
