Day 2 is half way finished. Campers are meeting new friends, swimming, and learning all sorts of different things. Some have studied lake ecology today, went canoeing, enjoyed archery, built bird nests, and a few even held a snake! Our group is stretched out and busy but we are trying our best to snap pictures during all the fun!

Senior 4-H’ers have officially arrived at Rock Eagle for Senior Conference!

This weekend experience is packed with opportunities for our high school 4-H members to grow as leaders, connect with others from across the state, and take part in fun, hands-on activities.

We’re so excited for all they’ll experience in just a short time and we’re kicking things off in style with 4-H Prom this afternoon! Stay tuned for all the fun and memories they’ll be making!

Telfair County 4-H Needs Your Help!

Telfair County 4-H is currently looking for a responsible adult MALE volunteer to serve as a chaperone for Cloverleaf 4-H Camp this summer!

Camp is an unforgettable experience for our 4th–6th grade 4-H’ers, and we need positive role models to help ensure a safe, fun, and supportive environment for our campers.

-Supervise and mentor campers
-Assist with activities and daily schedules
-Help create lasting memories for our youth

All volunteers must complete required screening through UGA Extension prior to camp.
If you are interested (or know someone who would be a great fit) please contact the Telfair County Extension/4-H Office for more information.

Senior EXTREME CAMP at Rock Eagle (June 1-5)
Senior EXTREME Camp is a more primitive camping experience, providing for tent camping, preparation of campers’ own meals, and a focus on outdoor recreational activities, among its activities.

Junior 4-Her's (7th&8th Graders), you also have the opportunity to go to Wahsega for Wilderness Challenge Camp! Secure that spot! July 13-17

4th and 5th Grade students have talked about all things summer camp this week and are geared up, ready to go! A parent letter was sent home with all elementary school students. Be on the look out for that. Spots are limited and are at a first come first basis. CLOVERLEAF CAMP IS OPEN TO 6TH GRADE STUDENTS AS WELL. Come by and see us!

So incredibly proud of our 15 Telfair County middle and high school students who represented our county at District Project Achievement!
These students stepped outside their comfort zones, put in countless hours of preparation, and showed confidence, leadership, and poise while competing against youth from across the district. Whether they brought home awards or gained valuable experience, each one of them is a winner in our book.
Their hard work truly reflects the heart of 4-H and makes our community proud.

These teens had a weekend full of learning and fellowship at Rock Eagle. 4-Hers had classes on everything from Paying for College to Service Projects. This group of kids are always a breeze to take anywhere….a group of true LEADERS!
