UPDATED INFORMATION!!!!

Telfair Cares has partnered with McRae Housing-Authority to assist with FEMA applications. Due to the short hand of
Volunteers we are limited to rendering service. We will provide internet service, printing and faxing of documents. This service is limited to Elderly and disabled
Individuals ages 62 and up. Today 10/11/24 from 1:00pm- 4:00pm McRae Housing-Authority this is a first come first serve. We will try to schedule more days as we get help from Volunteers.

On behalf of Telfair Cares, our thoughts and prayers go out to our community. Due to the unforeseen devastation and hardship brought by Hurricane Helena, we invite reliable, informed volunteers to aid our elderly and disabled neighbors with the FEMA application process. Please inbox us. We safeguard personal information, so discretion is vital, as people will be trusting you with their personal information. A laptop would be helpful; internet service and a light snack will be provided.

We like to take this opportunity to Thank Citi Trends of McRae-Helena for their continued support and contribution to our community. Citi Trends of McRae-Helena has donated items on numerous occasions including clothing, book bags, shoes, accessories and so much more. These items have been used in so many ways to help empower and improve the quality of life for individuals and families in Telfair County. It was a pleasure as always to partner with Telfair County Sheriff department and other organizations to help co-host the 3rd Annual Public Safety Community Day and Bicycle ride. As civic engagement continues we look forward to more events to come. Thank you to everyone who made donations and volunteered their time.

With the start of a new school year we understand it's time to go school shopping. It's time to clean the closet out for the upcoming school year.

Telfair Cares and McRae-Helena Housing Authority are asking for any donations of youth clothes and shoes that your child may have outgrown. Your donation of clothes can help a child this school year who is less fortunate.
Toddler 5t, 6, 6x+ - shoe 12+
Jeans 4,5t+ 👟 shoes 11+
If the sizes are bigger we will save them they can grown in to them

Our annual toy drive is currently underway. Drop-off locations for this years toy drive are: All Dollar Generals in Telfair County, Roses, McRae Market Place, Telfair Courthouse, Telfair County Detention Center, Telfair County Middle School, Telfair County Elementary School, Telfair County Health Department, and Telfair County Library.

If you need to sign up kids to receive the toys, please call our office at 229-868-6621 or Deputy Coney at 229-315-4908.
