In June, Team Kansas will represent our state at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games — competing against thousands of athletes from across the country. For many, it’s the biggest moment of their athletic career.

But here’s the reality: getting our team to Minnesota doesn’t happen without serious support. Travel, uniforms, equipment, meals, and competition fees add up fast. What a great day at the Kansas State University Volleyball Clinic! 🏐

Our athletes got to be guests of the Kansas State Volleyball team and enjoyed a tour of their awesome facilities. 😎

Hope everyone has enjoyed a quick break after basketball cause it’s time to gear up for our Special Olympics Track & Field season!

Practice will begin on Monday March 30th at 6:30pm at the McPherson College Track.

The first track meet is to be held at Topeka Shawnee on Saturday April 25th. This tournament typically runs from 9am - 3pm. Lunch will be provided for all athletes and a concession stand available for others.

State summer games will be in Wichita at Maize South High June 5th-7th.

Schedule of events for each tournament to be determined.

So lace up your running shoes and grease up your wheels and let’s hit the track! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️
