This week on Housing for Good, Chris Goodson welcomes Jill Perry, Manager of Save 'N Share Thrift Store in McPherson, Kansas.

With more than 100 volunteers, Save 'N Share transforms donated items into affordable merchandise and helps fund emergency assistance through Churches United in Ministry. Its voucher program also provides clothing and household essentials to families facing difficult circumstances.

More Than a Thrift Store – Helping Families Start Over

Imagine losing everything in a house fire. Where would you begin?

In this week's Housing for Good snippet, Jill Perry, general manager of Save 'N Share in McPherson, shares how vouchers provided through Churches United in Ministry help families obtain clothing, shoes, dishes, towels, and other everyday essentials.

Thanks to community donations and dedicated volunteers, Save 'N Share does more than offer affordable secondhand goods. It helps neighbors facing difficult circumstances get back on their feet.

On World Homeless Day, McPherson Housing Coalition is proud to support individuals and families working toward safe, stable housing. Through our work, we’re helping build a stronger community where everyone has a place to call home.

This World Homelessness Day, we are reminded to care for our most vulnerable Americans and give them the tools to recover and lead self-sufficient lives.

On Tuesday, a group of volunteers from the Farmers Alliance helped improve the Sutherland Estates by adding garden borders and mulch.

We’re grateful for the continued support of our community volunteers, whose hard work helps make projects like this possible. A special thank-you to Kirk Bouray, who manages our yard maintenance and was on-site to oversee the project.

Medicare doesn’t have to be quite so confusing!
