Our Recognition Luncheon was October 1. All the volunteers in attendance were honored with a catered lunch by Keepsake Catering. They received a tote, mug, notepad with pen, $15 Kroger card and a $50 WDG card. They played Bingo and took home more wonderful prizes. The tables were decorated with pumpkins and gourds donated by Randall Walker Farms, which the volunteers were able to pick as prizes also.

Dale McDaniel was honored to receive the 2025 RSVP Volunteer of the Year. She volunteers with a number of non-profits and is always willing to help when needed.

Our guest speaker was Sheriff Jackie Matheny, Jr. Sheriff Matheny and Major Kevin York offered information regarding the volunteers that come to the jail and classes. He was happy to report there had been 162 baptisms this year and 40 already in the month of October. The jail offers welding currently. They hope to add automotive technology, but it has not started yet. They then opened the floor for questions and answers. Sheriff Matheny and Major York were very helpful.

Main Street Media personality, Jay Walker, was our Bingo announcer.
