In 2013, I started this group to help our local CAC. It was a simple idea that grew to great things. The group, through our DAW (Donation Angel Warriors), ie: YOU GUYS, collected over 900 individual items for our local Children's Advocacy Center for the 31st Judicial District - CAC and provided Christmas gifts for 11 individual kids. 5 presents each! It was, what I considered, a COMPLETE SUCCESS!
I made the challenge and the DAW stepped up big time! We do donation drives several times a year for various reasons. I always post the new drive and we take donations up until delivery day, and you are ALWAYS welcome to go along with us on delivery day. In today's world...sometimes it does take a village to raise a family. We hope to help our "village" just as we hope they would be willing to help the next person in line. To Pay It Forward! We ask that those we help, when they are able, to return the favor and help us to help others. I know things are really hard right now, but if you can make a donation of any of the items we are collecting, please do. Maybe you can get with your coworkers or church or extended family and combine funds to help our current drive. All items will be donated locally to Warren County residents that have requested our help and any extra will be donated to the CAC to help them with their lists. You can contact me about your donation or you may drop it off at the local CAC to Mrs. Martha Whitaker Phillips. Just make sure you put OYHC on the donation. I am so touched by the out pouring of support this community gave with our Christmas drive and I am so grateful for the donations I've received to date, but we still have a lot more.
