Many of our "seasoned" grievers who have been a bereaved parent, sibling, or grandparent for a long time, love and live by the words written by author of the "Bereaved Parent", Harriet Schiff (Ms. Schiff wrote that book when it was a rare subject to address; Bravo to her!). That the love and "new" relationship with our child, sibling, or grandchild post-loss, continues on always, yet in a different way. They are our precious child, brother or sister, or grandchild … for the rest of our lives...and will never change!

The quote on the meme below is perfectly stated by Lindsey Henke, and we as bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents will say our adored ones names, tell their stories, and be keepers of their memory for as long as we are here. We will not hide our grief - we love them so and always will.

We still have a limited number of Camper Registration scholarships available for children and teens ages 9-17! Thanks to the generosity of the Snepp Family Charitable Fund, we are offering camp scholarships for this year's TCF Sibling Camp! A parent or guardian must be attending the conference, as children and teens will be rooming with their families at the hotel. Each of our campers will be getting camp t-shirts and a camp backpack. We have a fun, energy-filled two days planned for them that includes a lot of opportunities to remember their brother or sister and to be with other kids and know that they are not alone in their grief. Centerpieces are placed at each table for the Friday lunch and Saturday dinner with a sponsor card placed next to the centerpiece. The sponsor card will include your loved one's name and photo. Silence can be golden to a griever who really just needs someone to sit by their side and lovingly listen to them pour out their broken heart, for as long as they need to--without judgment or advice, no matter how well meaning. Being there is what is most important.
