Hi Everyone!
We have made the decision to close the cafe for the summer on Friday 05/29, and we wanted all of you to be the first to know!
For a variety of reasons, the fall and winter months are simply much more profitable for us. As of now, the plan is to reopen after school starts back, so this will only be for a few months. :)
In the meantime, there will still be ice cream, desserts, and drinks offered on select days and occasions.
There are also plans for some special dinners throughout the summer! Those will be announced in advance so everyone has plenty of notice.
While the cafe has been such a fun and meaningful part of HOME, the heart of our mission has always been serving those experiencing homelessness and housing instability in our community. Taking this step for the summer allows more time and resources to be focused on that mission while also helping ensure the long-term success of the cafe itself.
Our little cafe means so much to us, and every bit of support and encouragement has been appreciated more than you know. Thank you for being part of this journey. Looking forward to serving everyone again in full swing this fall!
