The Ohio Valley Crime Biters BBQ will be in June of 2020. There will be 5 Ohio Valley K-9 Units participating Marshall Co. Sheriff’s K-9 Office, Wheeling Police Dept., Brooke Co. Sheriff’s Office, Martins Ferry Police Dept. and Bridgeport Police Dept. Each Unit will have their own space at the event to help raise money for their unit. The event will be held at the Moundsville Penitentiary with a BBQ meal, which includes soft drinks and beer. There will be K-9 Demonstrations, Raffles, 50/50, and various activities the K-9 Units will be involved in that will earn their unit donations. You can vote for your favorite K-9, find hidden keys throughout the event that will earn you and the K-9 unit of your choice money and we will have an Arrest-A-Friend. You can have someone arrested for a fee, which will be donated to the unit of your choosing. The arrested party will have to spend time in our event jail till they raise their bail which will be donated to the unit of their choosing. Get Out of Jail Free cards will be available for purchase. You can even turn yourself in at Happy Tails prior to the event and start collecting donations for your bail as early as April, 2020. All bail money will be donated to the unit of the incarcerated’s choosing. There will be a prize (TBA) given to the person who raises the most bail.
