I had the honor of attending the 88th annual North Dakota Winter Show. I had a blast hanging out with all my sash sisters and cheering on the pageant contestants.

Thursday I helped out with mutton busting, selling raffle tickets at the ranch rodeo, and handling out ice cream and mini doughnuts to school kids.

Friday, I got up bright and early to watch the horsemanship portion of the pageant. Then, all the royalty went to Wilhelm Chevrolet in Jamestown for a meet and great and then to The Big Buffalo. After we went to the 1st PRCA performance, sold raffle tickets, and helped with mutton busting.

Saturday, I got to attend the pageant brunch and fashion show. After I did some shopping before the 2nd and 3rd PRCA performance where I once again sold 50/50 raffle tickets and helped with mutton busting.

Your Miss Rodeo MRA Queen,
Jessilynn Lund

Meet our Judges!

Bobbie Jo Manikowski grew up in Geneseo, ND on her family’s ranch where they raised sheep and horses. Bobbie Jo spent her days growing up breaking out and training horses. She was fortunate to be involved in many organizations, competing in rodeo events and holding rodeo princess and queen titles. During her junior year in high school, she joined another family legacy. Enlisting in the Army National Guard. In 2008 she was deployed to Sadr City, Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. After her deployment with the 191st Military Police Company she graduated from NDSCS (North Dakota State College of Science) and then K-State (Kansas State University) with a bachelor’s in animal science. After graduation she went to work for Dakotaland Feeds/Purina as a sales consultant.
Bobbie Jo now lives in Sheyenne, ND, where with her fiancé Levi they raise beef cattle, background the calves, stand their AQHA stallion Texana Tot “Voight” and raise quarter horses with the “old soul” mentality.

Meet our Judges!

Cassidy Bishop resides near Fort Ransom, ND. She has been actively involved in the rodeo queening community since entering her first contest in 2007. Since that first pageant, Cassidy has been honored to represent numerous area rodeo clubs/associations and finally the entire state of North Dakota as Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2017. Aside from rodeo pageants, Cassidy was a very active Ransom County 4H and Lisbon FFA member, competing at the national contests for each organization in the Horse Evaluation contest. She has remained an advocate for rodeo, rodeo queens, and the agricultural lifestyle in several ways: coaching young ladies for local rodeo queen pageants, reviving the Miss Rodeo RCF pageant as their director, serving on the FRAA pageant committee, preciously serving as a Miss Rodeo North Dakota board member, and serving on the Ransom County Fair Board. Cassidy is currently an agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor at Lisbon High School. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys spending time outside with her husband Dillon and daughter Ryder.
