ATTENTION NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE MCLEAN PLANING DISTRICT

McLean Community Foundation (MCF) grant application Fall Cycle deadline extended until October 5th.

The MCF is a 501(c)(3) organization operating exclusively for charitable and educational purposes for the benefit of the residents within the McLean Planning District. MCF invests in projects that benefit residents through charitable, educational, cultural, recreational, and historic preservation initiatives. The Foundation was created to preserve a permanent charitable endowment whose income would fund community improvements rather than operating expenses.

Examples of MCF grant funding in 2026 includes funds to purchase a new engine forthe McLean Volunteer Fire Department, Safe Community Coalition funding focused on youth mental health, support for McLean Little league and funding for Specially Adapted Resource Clubs (SPARC) for severely disabled adults. We also recently contributed to the McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) Kiln room and the Drew Stieg Aspiring Wellness Program.

If you are interested in applying for a grant during our Fall cycle, please go to https://www.mcfonline.org/grants.

McLean VFD offers its sincerest thanks to McLean Community Foundation for its $25,000 donation to help purchase a new fire engine, our first new engine in 12 years. MCF gave its first grant to MVFD in 1981, and has been an AMAZING support of ours over the years. Our current engine went into service in 2014, and we are looking forward to the arrival of the new state-of-the-art engine in the next few months, all part of our effort to continually improve our capability to serve our community.
