Our mission is to provide outdoor activities and other social events to wounded veterans, which enables them to rehabilitate both mentally and physically. h Fort Campbell HOOAH program to recruit future participants in our activities and retreats. Our guiding principles focus on our programs benevolent, educational, charitable, and patriotic efforts. Our coveted hunting and fishing trips provide the perfect environment for their healing. Our activities are supervised and carefully coordinated to best suit the needs of the soldiers, along with the many corporate and private sponsors. Our goal is to create awareness among the civilian sector of the sacrifices made by our American soldiers. With the joint efforts of the community and HOOAH Deer Hunt for Heroes, we, as one collective, can provide the necessary healing for our wounded soldiers in a non-traditional setting, outside of a clinical environment. We encourage our participants to overcome various levels of mental and physical limitations so that they can rebuild self-confidence and physical strength. Those fundamental components to recovery allow for them to be more successful in their day-to-lives. We strive to provide activities with little to no cost to the warrior and their immediate family. Unlike other foundations that take a percentage of donations and proceeds to pay salaries and other company expenses, HOOAH puts 100% of the donations to use towards the soldiers. The founders ensure that the soldiers do not spend one penny while on the HOOAH Deer Hunt For Heroes Trip. HOOAH provides food, gas cards, and lodging. The remaining funds are put towards operating costs, program marketing/promotion, and traveling expenses to the base to visit the soldiers. Our goal for this coming year, with your help, is to provide the necessary hunting apparel and equipment, boots, food, thank-you cards, hunting tree stands, and any other materials that help to make this years trip the best yet.
