In 2002 “Kingdom Hearts” made its debut on the Sony PlayStation 2 and with it came one of the most iconic opening themes of any modern video game series. Written by Japanese composer Yoko Shimomura, “Dearly Beloved” has since been used as the opening theme to every subsequent Kingdom Hearts game!

Here we have Yunhee Ahn on Violin, Brian Shoop on Viola, Youbin Jun on Cello and Rachel Choe Lee on Piano! We had a lot of fun putting this wonderful arrangement by together and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed performing it!

Where are our Final Fantasy VIII fans at?! This one’s for you! “Eyes On Me” was composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy VIII’s release back in 1999. The main melody of the piece plays throughout the game whenever Squall and Rinoa have a romantic scene together. And while we don’t have a vocalist as part of our arrangement for this song, that just means you will have to fill the lyrics in for us at home!

If you want to hear this track (and more) make sure to join us and at Atlas Performing Arts Center on March 1st, at 6:00pm for a fun evening of some of our favorite tunes! You can get 15% off with the code “PFGB15” at checkout! Get your tickets via the link in our bio today!

“Butter Building,” was composed by Hirokazu Ando for the NES release of “Kirby’s Adventure” back in 1993. Since then the theme has appeared in over a dozen Kirby and Super Smash Bros. related games! Named for the third level of the game, it plays as Kirby climbs up the levels of a yellow-tinted tower. Is the building actually made of butter? I’m afraid that is one of life’s great mysteries 😔.

Anyway, if you haven’t heard, our next concert is only 10 days away! Please join us and at Atlas Performing Arts Center on March 1st, at 6:00pm for a fun evening of some of our favorite tunes! You can get 15% off with the code “PFGB15” at checkout! Get your tickets via the link in our bio today!

And thank you to the incredible Jake Bay for this incredible arrangement written for our quartet that features; Asli Özek on viola, Youbin Jun on Cello, Rachel Choe Lee on flute and Wei-Han Wu on Piano! What’s your favorite game that features Kirby? Let us know down in the comments below!

Today, we are heading back to the very first Super Mario Bros. game, released in 1985 for the NES! Composed by Kōji Kondō, the music of Super Mario Bros. played a pivotal role in paving the way for music to become an integral part of the overall gaming experience. Previously, VGM music was intended to attract attention, but with Super Mario Bros. Kondō wanted, “to enhance the emotional and physical experience of the gamer.” and considering how many people can still recognize these melodies over 4 decades later, we certainly think he succeeded in making an impact! We hope you enjoy this short medley featuring the “Course Clear Theme,” “Ground Theme” and “Underground Theme!”

Also, don’t delay, our next concert is only 11 days away! Join us and at Atlas Performing Arts Center on March 1st, at 6:00pm for a fun evening of some of our favorite tunes!

What was the first Super Mario Bros. game you played? Let us know down in the comments!

Not only is “Green Greens” the first stage in the entire Kirby series, it’s also one of its most iconic tracks! Composed by Jun Ishikawa for “Kirby’s Dream Land,” (which launched on the original Game Boy back in 1992,) the main theme has since been used in over 30 different games including much of the “Super Smash Bros.” franchise! Hearing these 8-Bit “chiptune” tracks “grow up” with us over the years really has been special.

Also, we are only 12 days away from our next concert! Join us and at Atlas Performing Arts Center () on March 1st, at 6:00pm for a fun evening of some of our favorite tunes! You can get 15% off with the code “PFGB15” at checkout! Get your tickets via the link in our bio today!
