NEW DATES! Cultivate Connection Cohort beginning in September for parents of children who've experienced trauma.

The Cultivate Connection Cohorts are led by Rachal Pollard, Project Belong's Fredericksburg Area Co-Director and Parent Coach. These are virtual cohorts that meet over the course of 8-9 weeks on Tuesday evenings, specifically designed to support parents of children who have experienced trauma.

Cohorts offer:
🛠️ practical tools
❤️ compassionate guidance
🛣️ a strong community for families who are walking this road

🤝⛪️Last week, Project Belong had the privilege of sharing our vision and work with the For Richmond Foster Care Network, where 35 community leaders gathered—including representatives from 14 churches, 6 nonprofit organizations, and local Departments of Social Services.

We're extremely grateful for the warm welcome and excited to begin equipping churches across the Richmond region to care for vulnerable children, youth, and families impacted by the foster care system.

We had many great conversations that have already sparked new planning within our team as we explore how churches can step into the needs of the Richmond region.

Thank you to For Richmond for inviting us to join this incredible network. We're excited to partner with you throughout Richmond to help ensure every child experiences hope, belonging, and the love of Christ!

The first 31 days of a placement are full of appointments, transitions, and big adjustments. It's a very intense time for foster families.

May is National Foster Care Month 💙

As of May 1, there were 5,881 children in foster care across Virginia — and there continues to be a critical shortage of foster parents. 🏘

Virginia also has one of the highest rates of youth aging out of foster care without permanency or stable connections to a healthy adult.

Every child deserves a safe, loving home and supportive community. If fostering has been on your heart, now is a great time to learn more.
