NDC members and fans, it’s official! Guest conductor Dr. Casey Cook, who conducted our recent CARMINA BURANA concert, has been selected as NDC's new Artistic Director, filling the position that Tom Beveridge had recently vacated due to his well-deserved retirement. We are thrilled and excited to have Casey on board and are looking forward to continue making beautiful music together. Congratulations, Casey!

NDC fans, our friends at the Victorian Lyric Opera Company will be performing “Patience” by Gilbert and Sullivan, starting June 5th at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville, MD: “A fresh, fun take on a classic Gilbert and Sullivan. With an updated setting of a mid-century university coffee shop, this delightful operetta pokes gentle fun at trend-chasers through the whimsy of the Aesthetic movement—complete with dramatic poets, cricket-playing Dragoons, and a down-to-earth barista named Patience caught in the middle of a love triangle. “

For tickets and more information, please go to https://fscottfitzgerald.showare.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=239. Get your tickets now to see NDC’s soprano section leader, Amanda Messenger, appearing in this production. Break a leg, Amanda!

What a splendid afternoon of dramatic music to conclude our 35th season! We thank you all for attending our concert and celebrating with us! Our hats go off to Tess Ottinger, Allan Palacios Chan, Collin Power, and Caroline Player, our excellent soloists; our superb pianists Thomas Pandolfi and Frank Conlon; our marvelous percussion ensemble, whose driving rhythms kept the intensity high from start to finish; our delightful guest singers, the Langley High School Madrigals, who captured our hearts with their singing; and to Dr. Casey Cook, guest conductor extraordinaire, who managed to use his considerable talents to get us ready to perform, despite the weather wreaking havoc on our rehearsal schedule! Our thanks and appreciation also go to our beloved Artistic Director, Thomas Beveridge, who originated the idea for this concert and planned accordingly.

In this time of declining attendance at choral and other concerts across the nation, we were thrilled to see you in our audience yesterday, and we loved your enthusiasm! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We loved performing for you!
