The founders of Children’s Repair Fund have a vision of repairing children throughout the USA whose parents missed the opportunity or just felt they couldn’t afford the repair. The founders observed children throughout the USA who needed repair but for various reasons never received it. The many charity funds in the US are all for the very poor. But a man and his wife who earn together a small amo
unt a year find many of these medical costs, that company insurance doesn’t cover, above their ability to pay. Thus, they decide to wait, planning on having the repair done at a later date. Of course it just gets passed over year to year as costs seem to just go up and up. The founders saw perfectly-healthy children with teeth that had grown very crooked, causing other children not to include them, and children that had crooked jaws which caused them not to try out for band or a sports program. The founders had witnessed parents that turned down permission to doctors who could easily have repaired their newborn baby’s defects because the parents determined that they couldn’t afford the cost to have it done. They saw many other defects or injuries that could have been repaired if they could pay for the costs associated with the repair. These are the costs Children’s Repair Fund plans to help cover, helping children receive their needed repairs in Texas first and then across the USA.
