Year after year, the Naomi’s Village 5K has grown, not just in the number of runners, but in the memories made, milestones celebrated, and community gathered around the children.

These photos capture just a few of the moments along the way. Different years, different faces, different finish lines, but the same spirit of joy, celebration, and showing up for one another.

We are so grateful to close out this summer's team season with an incredible group from Weatherford, TX!

They spent nine impactful days with us in Kenya, bringing a wonderful mix of experience, from first-time visitors to returning members who have been visiting for up to ten years.

Each team member brought their unique strengths to serve our children, staff, and community with eagerness and compassion. They shared the Gospel, built lasting relationships, and served local families through hands-on community outreach projects that directly met practical needs and supported long-term development.

We’re so thankful for their joyful hearts, generous service, and the meaningful impact they made during their time with us! ❤️

Jojo, a 9th grader at Cornerstone, is participating in this year's 5K to chase his big dreams!

He's been part of our 5K tradition from the beginning (see second slide!). Since then, he's grown into a smart, fun-loving, motivated, and valued member of our community. A sincere and loyal young man, Jojo values friendship above all. He aspires to be the future president of Kenya, and we believe he'll achieve it someday!

When asked what he's excited about for this year's 5K, Jojo said, "I am excited to be with friends and family, dance with Kubamba, and run."

This summer in Kenya was pure joy, laughter, friendship, and a whole lot of dancing! 💛

Just one year after launching the Naomi’s Village 5K in Dallas, the event expanded to Kenya.

That year, we had recently purchased the land where Cornerstone Preparatory Academy would one day be built.

Our community in Kenya traveled from Naomi’s Village to that land, walking and running with a vision for the school that would one day stand there. A school that would transform lives, empower the community, and impact the country as a whole.

What started as a 5K became a picture of what God was creating.

This October, join us in this special tradition of running for the future of children in Kenya.

When we asked Samson, a Grade 4 student at Cornerstone Preparatory Academy, why he was running the Naomi’s Village Children’s 5K, his answer was simple: joy. 💛

Samson is one of those kids who lights up every room he walks into. He’s witty, creative, quick to make those around him laugh, and always looking for ways to bring his friends into the fun.

This October 10th, Samson will run with his friends, and for the joy he believes is worth celebrating. Across Naomi’s Village, children are running for something greater than themselves. They are running for their education, their dreams, their families, and their futures.

As summer comes to a close and our internship program wraps up, we’re already looking forward to welcoming next summer’s interns! 🤗

Our internship program creates lasting impact by giving interns the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the children, grow in their faith, and experience the joy of faithfully serving wherever God calls.
