Something for a Sunday evening ...
Great story out of Nacogdoches. Stephen F. Austin head coach Colby Carthel tested positive 10/14 for Covid & had symptoms. So knowing he needed to pick an interim coach for the upcoming game against Angelo State what did he do? He called home to his dad Don Carthel in Amarillo, who just happened to be a legendary small college football coach. His Dad was on his John Deere tractor because it is cotton harvest season in the Panhandle. He jumped off the tractor, left it running and told his wife to turn the tractor off because he had to get to Nacog ...He drove the 550 miles & was on the sideline as the interim head coach...and SFA WON THE GAME. It was Dad's 125th win as a head coach!!!
If you can’t be there to coach, call Dad and get him off the tractor to help you out! That’s football in Texas! ❤️

7th Grade Parents

In middle schools a voluntary conditioning workout will take place from 7am to 8am daily. When on-campus instruction is implemented, practices will take place at their normally scheduled times during the school day.
