Embrace Texas

Embrace Texas Our vision is loving, stable home for every child. We support and educate foster and adoptive families to better parent the hurting children in their care.

Embrace equips local churches to identify and meet the needs of the fatherless, and advocate at the state and local levels to establish best policies and practices for children and families. We are a support for foster youth who "age-out" of foster care without an adoptive family.

At Embrace, we're passionate about safety for all children. Hot car deaths can happen faster than you think, and they're preventable.

Remember to ACT:
A — Avoid leaving a child alone in a vehicle, even for a minute.
C — Create reminders to check the back seat every time you park.
T — Take action if you see a child alone in a car—call 911 immediately.

A simple routine can save a life. Always check the back seat. ❤️

For a child who has experienced trauma, uncertainty, neglect, or instability, behaviors that are frustrating to adults may have once helped them stay safe.

Taking food when they see it.
Hiding things they value.
Reacting before thinking.
Struggling to share.
Trying to control what happens next.
Looking out for themselves first.

These aren’t necessarily signs of a “bad attitude.” They may be skills learned in a world where there wasn’t always enough—or where adults couldn’t always be counted on.

As caregivers, teachers, friends, and community members, we can choose curiosity before judgment and compassion before correction.

Instead of asking, “Why would they do that?” we can ask, “What might this behavior be telling me?”

Healing takes time. Safety has to be experienced again and again before survival skills are no longer needed. ❤️

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7

We were able to redirect our families before they arrived. Join us in prayer for all those impacted by flooding across the state.
