Citychurch Youth Outreach Citychurch is a youth outreach ministry on the East side of McKinney, Texas. We are an all-volunteer group who exist to serve others.

Citychurch Youth Outreach is a a volunteer based organization that serves the at-risk youth and families in the McKinney area to help meet their physical , emotional, and spiritual needs. We are a "HANDS ON" organization and we heavily rely on the constant interaction with the people to build and maintain relationships throughout the community. We have been working in this community for 6 years an

d have gained a "foot in the door" or credibility through maintaining relationships and the people reciprocate by being more open and trusting with us. Our primary focus is to reach out to the at-risk youth and families in McKinney to help promote a better quality of life and to help meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We believe that help without hope is no help at all so our organization seeks to educate and empower those in the community. We offer many programs and assistance to the youth and families requiring nothing in return from them. We believe that interaction is a key factor when it comes to affectiveness and effectiveness of our programs. Citychurch offers programs year round that help the community and we seek to become a "mission central" or place where people can come to volunteer and serve the community. We host programs and events year round maintaining weekly interaction with the youth and families. What does 256 lunches look like?
Apparently it's about one Amaya worth of pizza. 🍕
Today our volunteers packed and delivered 256 lunches to children across McKinney. Every lunch represents a child who has something to eat today because of the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners.
It's a funny photo, but behind every pizza box is a kid we're able to serve this summer.

Every Tuesday in June, kids and families from across McKinney gather at Citychurch for an evening of free popsicles, games, laughter, and fun. We're especially grateful for our friends at McKinney Global Methodist Church for helping make Popsicles in the Park possible!
Sometimes the simplest things—a frozen treat, a conversation, a friendly face—can make a big difference in a child's day.

When COVID-19 shut down schools in 2020, many of the students we serve were suddenly left wondering where their next meal would come from.
So we got to work.
We pulled the seats out of our vans, turned them into makeshift delivery vehicles, and spent the next 9 months delivering lunches directly to families throughout our community. 🚐🥪
When schools reopened, we returned to our regular programs and thought that chapter had come to an end.
But the following summer, the phone started ringing.
"Do y'all have anything for us to eat?"
The need hadn't disappeared.
So we dusted off the playbook and launched Fill A Bag, Feed A Child.
What began as a response to a crisis has grown into one of our biggest ministries. Today, we're delivering more than 250 lunches every day to local children during the summer months.
Looking back, we're reminded that God can take a difficult season and use it to create something that impacts lives for years to come.
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, church, and community partner who helped make it possible. ❤️

Our Wednesday Morning Men's Bible Study is growing, and there's always room for one more chair at the table.
For the summer, we've moved our start time up to 9:30 AM so we can finish before our Fill A Bag, Feed A Child lunch deliveries begin.
This isn't a lecture hall or a formal class. It's a group of men who enjoy digging into Scripture, asking questions, learning from one another, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Whether you've studied the Bible for decades or you're just getting started, you'll find a welcoming group of guys who are serious about their faith without taking themselves too seriously.

There are moments that remind us why we do what we do.
This Sunday, we celebrated three young men who have grown, persevered, and reached an important milestone. Watching them walk across the stage and receive scholarships was a reminder that investing in young people matters.
Congratulations to Sir Christian Alexander, Dylan Brown, and Ismael Pineda.
We are proud of the men you have become and excited for the future that lies ahead. Keep chasing your goals, keep trusting God, and remember that you'll always have a family at Citychurch.

Day 1 is in the books! 🎉
Yesterday we packed and delivered 166 lunches to local children through our Fill A Bag, Feed A Child summer feeding program.
In this reel, you'll hear from Pat Norton, a wonderful volunteer from McKinney Global Methodist Church, as she shares why serving matters to her. Volunteers like Pat are the reason this program is possible.
And the need is already growing. On our very first day, our routes increased by 30 additional lunches, pushing us to nearly 200 lunches on Day 2 alone!
If this pace continues, 2026 will be our biggest Fill A Bag, Feed A Child summer yet.
Every lunch includes food, encouragement, and a reminder that someone cares.

In just 11 days, our vans roll out for another summer of feeding kids across our community.
That means:
🥪 Hundreds of lunches packed every morning

❤️ Families depending on this program
Summer should be exciting for kids — not stressful because there’s no food at home.
