North Texas Cat Rescue ( NTCR) is a 501 (c)(3) ALL Volunteer organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats. EIN: 20-8812308

It is our mission to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in permanent homes. We are further dedicated

to the care and wellbeing of these homeless cats and to educating the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, the prevention of animal cruelty, responsible pet ownership, and actively encouraging trap-neuter-release (TNR) in our community. NTCR takes in cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations (hoarding situations and through TNR), and takes in kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes. NTCR places the cats in foster care for socializing and regularly runs adoption events to find permanent homes for them. Make in-kind donations of items such as:
- Nutro, Wellness and RC Digestive Canned kitten food
- dry food (kitten and adult Nutro Grain Free Salmon, RC Digestive,
- scoopable litlter Tidy Cat blue unscented and Dr Esley's Multi Cat
- condos, medium size metal crates
- gas, Petsmart, Petco gift cards
- small plastic carriers

You may also donate your time:
Cleaning on location & giving lots of TLC to the kitties, staff adoption events, foster and/or make financial contributions. We are currently funding a special account for emergency surgeries. Donations may be made online via Paypal or by mail:

Happy Tails update from October!
We absolutely love our little Coco (renamed from October). She has seen the vet, who says she is in perfect health and a very sweet kittnen. Our little Coco has discovered every nook and cranny our home has to offer and has had us scrambling to find her sometimes because she is so quiet. She only meows if we are late with her food.

We have also discoverd that not only does she like high places, she also likes to take naps under furniture, like sofas and beds.

She is very independent, very playful, loves her zoomies and our arms. She has brought a special kind of joy to our family and we couldn't be more in love with her. We couldn't be more happy and grateful for our little kitten. She makes everyone of us smile.

Thank you for letting us adopt her :)

POST 2 OF 2

Come meet these pawsome kitties this weekend at PetSmart in Allen - we will be there this Saturday 8/29 from 1-4pm and Sunday, 8/30 from 1-4pm ... adopt a kitty or two ... take home your new bff and enjoy life with unconditional love

If you see a kitty that is in this album, or in our Cats Available for Adoption album that you are interested in adopting, please go to our website to fill out an adoption application: http://northtexascatrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2650

Kittens up to 16 weeks old NEED to be adopted in pairs or alone with proof of a kitten about the same age in the home.
Why Two Kittens Are Better Than One:
1. They’ll Mentally Stimulate (And Entertain!) Each Other. A bored kitten can be destructive.
2. They’ll Keep Each Other Exercised and Active.
3. One Kitten May Drive Your Older Cat Bananas.
4. Adopting Two Doesn’t Cost Much More Than Adopting One.
5. You’ll Save Another Life.
Cats at the events are subject to change.

Pollux and his littermates came into foster care at NTCR as very young kittens, they were found in a dumpster by a kind young lady who rescued them and cared for them till they could go to a foster home. Pollux is super sweet and affectionate.

*** ADOPTION PENDING ***

Helios had a rough start to life! This sweet boy was spotted by an eagle eyed animal lover dodging traffic on a busy freeway!! Luckily said kind animal lover risked it all to save this boy (and we are so grateful they did so) and he’s now living his best life in his foster home with 4 foster kitty siblings to play with. He is very playful and affectionate. Loves to cuddle. Helios is a bit cautious with loud noises and sudden movements. He would do better in a home with no young kids or older children. He will also do better in a home with other cats to play with as he’s gotten used to having 4 other kitties to play with.
