North Texas Cat Rescue ( NTCR) is a 501 (c)(3) ALL Volunteer organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats. EIN: 20-8812308

It is our mission to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in permanent homes. We are further dedicated

to the care and wellbeing of these homeless cats and to educating the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, the prevention of animal cruelty, responsible pet ownership, and actively encouraging trap-neuter-release (TNR) in our community. NTCR takes in cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations (hoarding situations and through TNR), and takes in kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes. NTCR places the cats in foster care for socializing and regularly runs adoption events to find permanent homes for them. Make in-kind donations of items such as:
- Nutro, Wellness and RC Digestive Canned kitten food
- dry food (kitten and adult Nutro Grain Free Salmon, RC Digestive,
- scoopable litlter Tidy Cat blue unscented and Dr Esley's Multi Cat
- condos, medium size metal crates
- gas, Petsmart, Petco gift cards
- small plastic carriers

You may also donate your time:
Cleaning on location & giving lots of TLC to the kitties, staff adoption events, foster and/or make financial contributions. We are currently funding a special account for emergency surgeries. Donations may be made online via Paypal or by mail:

Happy Tails update from Holly!
Holly, (Now called Maple) is doing wonderfully! She is obsessed with our older kitten and follows him everywhere he goes. When they’re not cuddled up in a kitty cuddle puddle, they’re chasing each other through every room of the house.

Happy Tails update from Gabe!
Gabe is doing great! His new name is “Kevin”. Sir Kevin Trevor Lloyd to be exact (the kids couldn’t agree so he just got all of them!). He is snuggled often, played with hard, and adjusted to our lab very well. He has become famous with our neighborhood kids for his “funny sleeping positions and the way he says “hello” when looking for me or the kids. He’ll sit in the front entry way becaue it echos and he’ll yell “heeerrrrooooo???” When we answer him he comes running to us so he’s definitely looking for us.

We just love him to pieces!

"Great news everyone! Our little Penny has found herself a new loving family today. Her new humans saw her last week and fell in love immediately.
She is now officially part of their home. It's amazing to see how far she has come from being a scaredy kitten to now slowly embracing love and affection. Penny will thrive with all the love her new Mom will give her.
We wish this new family all the best for many years to come. Congratulations Penny and her new hoomans!

We have some adorable kittens looking for their furever homes!!! Come meet these gorgeous felines at PetSmart in Allen, this Saturday, 6/6 from 1-4pm!!

If you see a kitty that is in this album, or in our Cats Available for Adoption album that you are interested in adopting, please go to our website to fill out an adoption application: http://northtexascatrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2650

Kittens up to 16 weeks old NEED to be adopted in pairs or alone with proof of a kitten about the same age in the home.
Why Two Kittens Are Better Than One:
1. They’ll Mentally Stimulate (And Entertain!) Each Other. A bored kitten can be destructive.
2. They’ll Keep Each Other Exercised and Active.
3. One Kitten May Drive Your Older Cat Bananas.
4. Adopting Two Doesn’t Cost Much More Than Adopting One.
5. You’ll Save Another Life.
Cats at the events are subject to change.

Jitterbug is a gorgeous dilute tortoiseshell kitten, a blend of gray and cream. She's super playful, and love to chase and wrestle with her siblings. Jitter loves people, and will follow you around the house just to see what you're up to. She would do well in either a high-energy or quiet house, and would be good with other cats, probably dogs (once she got over her shock) and kids. She would love to be adopted with a sibling or her mom, Juliette!

Jewel is a gorgeous tortoiseshell kitty, with a cute spot on the top of her head. She's a definite cuddle bug, and loves people and their laps. She's also super playful and especially loves chasing her siblings! Jewel would be a great kitty in a high-energy or chill household, and would be great with other pets or kids.

Congratulations to Kiko and her new hooman on their adoption day!
After a 1 1/2 hour drive, the two finally met and it seems like it went well since they left together.
Kiko is so excited to have a new forever home with someone who already loves her. We're sure she will feel right at home in her new domain, filled with cat trees and toys just for her. Here's to many happy days ahead for Kiko and her special person. Best wishes to both of you!
