🎓✨ Last week, we shared a special workshop with our seniors about life after high school.

It was a space to learn about universities, careers, and new opportunities while encouraging students to dream big about their future. During the workshop, students took an aptitude test to discover their interests and possible vocational areas. They also learned about platforms and tools they can use to practice and prepare for college admission exams. 📚✨

Our students truly enjoyed the information and participated enthusiastically as they explored new possibilities for their next steps.

We are excited to walk alongside them during this important stage of their lives and remind them that their dreams can become reality. 💜💛✨

We are proud of our students who participated in the first round of the 2026 Annual Math Olympiad. 📚➕

We congratulate each of them for their effort, dedication, and courage in representing our school. We also want to thank Teacher Jesus for guiding and supporting these students throughout the process.

IVA teachers Marjorie and Sheila hosted a beautiful Accountant’s day event this week - highlighting the importance of the accounting profession and the various career paths available to pursue for our Accounting & Finance students.

We were honored to have a few special guests from the local Business Development Center who came out to present on entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, financial education, and the various professional growth opportunities available for them.

They left inspired with new tools and ideas to continue growing professionally and prepare themselves by developing an entrepreneurial mindset. 📊✨

Today we celebrate a woman whose life and service have been a true blessing to so many Miskitu families. Thank you for the countless ways you have faithfully helped build and steward a school, community, and future where Miskito youth can learn, grow, thrive, and DREAM BIG ✨

Through your and Alex’s leadership, and the unwavering support of your family, countless young people have been able to graduate from high school, pursue careers, continue on to college, and become shining lights within their communities.

Laura, we are deeply grateful for the many ways you have poured into and advocated for ROH, IVA, and the people of La Moskitia. Your vision, kindness, faithfulness, and compassion continue to bear fruit and multiply every day.

Algunas personas llegan a una comunidad y dejan huellas que jamás se borran ✨

Hoy despedimos con mucho cariño a una familia que durante años sirvió con amor, dedicación y entrega a muchos niños y jóvenes de nuestra comunidad. Fue una alegría contar con la presencia de Steven y Lauren en nuestros eventos y reuniones de padres de familia, acompañando y representando con tanto compromiso a los niños de Casa Esperanza. Su amor, apoyo y cercanía marcaron la vida de muchos estudiantes y familias.

Gracias por celebrar cada logro, acompañar cada proceso y creer en el futuro de cada estudiante; su legado vivirá en el corazón de cada uno de ellos.

Aunque regresan a su país, su legado permanecerá en la vida de cada niño que amaron y apoyaron. Los vamos a extrañar por aquí 🫶🏽🤍

Some friends come into a community and leave footprints that never fade ✨

Today we say goodbye with so much love to a family who, for over a decade, has served many children and youth in our community with love, dedication, and generosity.

Steven Hosack and Lauren Hosack have been champions of IVA from the very beginning - believing in us, supporting us, and cheering us on every step of the way. As caregivers for the children of Casa Esperanza who have studied at IVA, we’ve had the blessing of sharing countless events, parent meetings, celebrations, and graduations with them over the years.

Their love and support have touched the lives of so many students, families, and members of our IVA staff.

Thank you for the endless ways you have believed in, advocated for, and empowered both our school and the broader community. Your legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of so many.

Although they are returning to their home country, their impact will remain in the life of every child they have loved and supported. We are going to miss them so much around here 🫶🏽🤍

Sheila joined us in 2024 to help lead our Accounting and Finance career path and has been the sweetest addition to our team! ✨

She plays a key role in guiding our students as they prepare for graduation, helping shape them into future professionals and leaders in the field of accounting. Her care for her students shines brightly in everything she does, and her encouragement and kindness make a difference each day. 🤍
