In Kenya, women leaving prison often face enormous barriers to starting over. Without employment, housing, training, or support, rebuilding a family can feel impossible.

BFFT offers another path.

What does a second chance really look like? Meet Rose.

After her husband died, Rose became the sole provider for her family. Desperate to pay for her daughter’s high school education, she began brewing illegal alcohol—and eventually found herself in prison.

But prison wasn't the end of Rose's story.

After her release, Rose came to Building Families For Tomorrow, where she trained in tailoring and learned the skills she needed to start her own business.

She went home and began again.

Today, Rose is supporting herself through her tailoring business. She has been able to improve her home, establish her shop, and even invest in additional property.

That is what restoration can look like when a woman is given the tools and opportunity to rebuild her life.

North Texas Giving Day is coming!

Thousands of miles from North Texas, women and children in Kenya are being given the opportunity to begin again.

At Building Families For Tomorrow, we work with women leaving prison who are ready to rebuild their lives and reunite their families.

For 12 months, women receive counseling, biblical discipleship, vocational and business training, life skills, and help transitioning to independence. Their children have a safe home, attend school, and—most importantly—have the opportunity to rebuild their relationship with their mothers.

The results give us so much hope:

- 93.8% of our graduates are self-supporting.
- Not one BFFT graduate has returned to prison.
