Today we celebrate survivors — the kids who fought, the teens who kept going, the adults carrying their stories forward, and every family who stood beside them.

Survivorship isn’t the end of the story — it’s a lifetime of follow-ups, healing, courage, and hope.
So today we’re cheering loud and recommitting to the work: more research, better treatments, and stronger support so more kids get to grow up and thrive.

Leia’s Kids is so grateful to have the opportunity to host a retreat for moms and daughter who have or are still walking through the journey of childhood cancer. A much needed time to rest, recover and reconnect.

🌊 BEACH RETREAT SPOTS OPENED 🌊

A few spots have recently opened up for the 2026 Leia’s Kids Teen Beach Retreat in Orange Beach, Alabama ☀️💛

July 13 to 16, young women ages 17 to 26 who have been impacted by childhood cancer are invited to join us for a meaningful weekend of healing, friendship, laughter, rest, and community.

This retreat is designed for girls currently in treatment, survivors, and those whose lives have been forever changed by childhood cancer.

Through beach days, deep conversations, encouragement, late night laughs, and “me too” moments, our hope is that every girl leaves feeling seen, known, and deeply loved.

Wrapping up Day 2 of our Mother & Daugther Retreat 🤍

In our breakout sessions we covered triggers and coping mechanisms and addressed how the brain takes in trauma and how to work through that.

We also talked about how you can feel two emotions at once. You can be happy you are alive, but on the other side of the coin, be angry you have/had cancer.

For the moms, we talked about mom guilt and creating a space for them to talk through what they have gone through and as they have or are currently walk through their daughter having cancer.

In between the breakout session we had some time for rest, recover, connection, and FUN! We had some morning movement, a photoshoot, dinner, and a spa night 💜

We are grateful we can create a space for these mom and daughters.. a space that’s needed and a space that’s deserved.

We have officially kicked off our Mother & Daughter Retreat 💜 Here’s a little glimpse into the day.

We are so thankful to have host us. What a beautiful place for these moms and daughters to relax, reconnect, & spend time with others who have walked the same walk as childhood canncer.
