This year, we decided to retire our backpack program — a project that helped equip CF families for a new school year, year after year. 🎒

It’s bittersweet, but we’re grateful for the hundreds of children we’ve supported through this program. And thankful that the majority of our families no longer feel like they need this program as much as they once did!

People with cystic fibrosis often face chronic lung infections caused by stubborn bacteria like Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These bacteria are tough to eradicate and can cause flare-ups known as pulmonary exacerbations, leading to hospital stays and lung damage.

Managing these infections requires a combination of daily airway clearance, antibiotics, and sometimes hospital treatments. This ongoing fight impacts quality of life for patients and their families.
