Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference.

At the Community Food Pantry of McKinney, we serve approximately 600 neighbors every day. While food is our primary mission, we know that household essentials matter too.

We love being able to provide a roll of toilet paper to the families we serve, but our supply is running low.

Today, we’re looking for ONE generous donor willing to sponsor our next order.

Every day at the Community Food Pantry of McKinney, we meet neighbors facing impossible choices.

Do I pay rent or buy groceries?

Do I keep the lights on or feed my children?

Do I pay for medicine or put food on the table?

For many families, these aren’t hypothetical questions—they are daily realities.

Some of our neighbors are single moms escaping abusive situations. Some are grieving the loss of a loved one. Some are seniors living on fixed incomes. Some are hardworking families with two incomes who are still struggling to make ends meet. Others are living in their cars while trying to rebuild their lives.

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, we help fill those gaps.

✨ Every family leaves with a full basket of groceries.

🌻 Every client receives fresh flowers through our partnership with Trader Joe’s.

🚚 We do pickups 7 days a week to better serve our neighbors.

🤝 The Community Food Pantry of McKinney is powered by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who show up every day to serve our community with compassion, dignity, and hope.

❤️ From May 2 through June 2 alone, our volunteers donated more than 900 volunteer hours to help feed families and support our mission.

📦 We serve more than 10,000 individuals every month.

We are grateful for our incredible partners including North Texas Food Bank, Costco, Trader Joe’s, H-E-B, Walmart, Kroger, Sprouts, El Rancho, Albertsons, and Tom Thumb who help keep our shelves stocked and our neighbors nourished.

But food isn’t our biggest expense.

Join us for a beautiful afternoon of creativity, connection, and compassion as we come together to create handmade cards for individuals and families served by the Community Food Pantry of McKinney.

✨ Each participant will create 2 handcrafted cards
✨ First United Bank will be sponsoring lunch
✨ $3 from every ticket purchased will be donated back to the Community Food Pantry of McKinney

This special event is designed to spread encouragement, hope, and kindness to our pantry neighbors while giving our community a meaningful hands-on service opportunity. 💕

This is what community looks like! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to the McKinney North Band Trombone and Baritone Section — the amazing Bones and ’Tones! 🎺

Throughout the month of May, these incredible students organized a food drive benefiting the Community Food Pantry of McKinney. Their generosity, leadership, and dedication to serving others will help provide food and hope to neighbors facing food insecurity right here in our community.

We are so grateful for every donation collected and every student who participated. Thank you for showing that being part of a team means making a difference both on and off the field.

Bones and ’Tones, you rock! Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more caring community. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Daisy and Brownie Troop 1060 for spending part of their Sunday with us on May 23 from 12:00–2:00 PM! 💕

These amazing young ladies rolled up their sleeves and got to work stocking shelves, cleaning the pantry, organizing, and helping wherever they were needed. Their smiles, enthusiasm, and servant hearts made such a difference, and they worked incredibly hard!

We are also so grateful to the parents who stayed and helped alongside them. It is wonderful to see families teaching the next generation the importance of giving back and serving their community.

How cute are they?! 🥰 More importantly, what a wonderful group of young leaders they are becoming. Thank you, Troop 1060, for your helping hands, kind hearts, and dedication to helping our neighbors facing food insecurity.

We are beyond grateful to be a beneficiary of the amazing Empty Bowls McKinney event this year! 🥣❤️

This incredible check is going to help us continue feeding so many families in need right here in our community. Every dollar makes a difference and helps us keep our shelves stocked, and hope alive for neighbors facing food insecurity.

Yesterday our neighbors shopped with dignity and left with full grocery baskets. ❤️

North Texas Food Bank day is always a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together. From our incredible volunteers and hardworking staff to our amazing grocery store partners and the support of North Texas Food Bank — every single person plays a role in making this possible.

Behind every full cart is a volunteer lifting heavy boxes, stocking shelves, bagging groceries, carrying carts, sorting produce, and serving our neighbors with kindness and compassion. These days are long, exhausting, and beautiful all at the same time.

We are so grateful for the village that stands behind the Community Food Pantry of McKinney. Together, we are providing food for today and hope for tomorrow.
